- Diễn đạt sự thật luôn đúng, chân lý khoa học, thời gian biểu, lịch trình, thói quen, sở thích Các phó từ thường dùng là Every day; every week ..; always, often, usually, sometimes, seldom, rarely, never  ; Once/twice a week,
Lưu ý: Ta thêm "es" sau các động từ tận cùng là : O, S, SS, X, CH, SH; + es
 tận cùng là : PA + y=> i+es
 Eg: hurry -> hurries
Cách đọc đuôi “S” của động từ khi chủ ngữ là ngôi thứ 3, số ít:
1. Đọc là /Z/ khi đt tận cùng là các phụ âm hữu thanh và các nguyên âm: VD: goes, buys, comes, sees, saves, plays
2. Đọc là /S/ khi đt tận cùng là các âm vô thanh như: /f/, /t/, /k/, /p/ VD: Eg: laughs; works; stops; wants
3. Đọc là /IZ/ khi đt tận cùng là các âm xuýt như: /ss/, /sh/, /zz/, /x/, /z/, /se/, /ce/, /ch/ VD: buzzes, washes, kisses, loses, watches, .
2. Hiện tại tiếp diễn

NV: Am/ is/ are + S + Ving ?
- Diễn tả một h/đ đang diễn ra tại thời điểm (đang nói) hay việc mà ta đã sắp xếp để thực hiện trong tương lai.
At the moment, at present, now, right now, Look!, Listen 
- Lưu ý: Không dùng thì HTTD với các động từ chỉ nhận thức, tri giác như: To be; see, hear, understand, know, like, want, feel, smell, glance, love, hate, realize, seem, forget, rememberVới các động từ này, ta thay bằng thì HTĐ. 
VD: We are very tired now.

*. So sánh hơn: a) Tính từ ngắn (là những từ 1 âm tiết, nếu 2 âm tiết thì tận cùng là “y” (trừ “ly”), “er”, “ow”)
 S1 + be + tính từ + er + than + S2
. Ex: She is shorter than me/ I am.
b) Tính từ dài: S1 + be/ + more + tính từ + than + S2 
 Ex : She is more beautiful than me/ I am.
