GRAMMAR
1. Các giới từ (prepositions):
a) Đi với danh từ chỉ nơi chốn: to; on; at; in; into; between; opposite; next to; from ... to.
 Ex: on the lelf of the library, at the back of the library
b) Đi với danh từ chỉ thời gian: at; in; on; from ... to; between; until; before; after.
 Ex: at Christmas, on Christmas day
c) Đi với danh từ chỉ phương tiện giao thông: by; on
Ex: by car; by train; on foot.
 2. Các dạng câu:
What + ( a/an) + adj + N !
a) Câu cảm thán (an exclamatory sentence):
Ex:	* Những lời phàn nàn (complaints):
	- What an expensive dress!
	- What a wet day!
	* Những lời khen ngợi (compliment):
	- What a great party!
	- What a bright room!
 b) Câu hỏi: * Wh - questions:
Ex: - Where are you going? - I am going to the market.
 - Why do some people think that students have an easy life? 
 – Because they think students only work a few hours a day and have a long vacation.
	 - Where does she work? - She works at a supermarket.
 - What do you want/ need from the post office? – I want/ need to buy a phone card.
* Yes - No questions:
Ex: - Are there any parks near here? - Yes, there are.
 - Is there a restaurant close by? – No, there is not.
 - Does she have English on Monday? - No, she doesn't.
 - Do you have a party for your birthday? – Yes, I do
* Or questions:
Ex: - Do you like soccer or volleyball? - I like soccer.
	 - Is he a mechanic or a driver? - He is a mechanic.
* Questions with How / How old / How many / How much / How far / How often... ?
Ex: - How do some teenagers help the community?
 – They help elderly people, clean the beach, plant the trees along the street .
 - How many hours a week do you work?- My working week is about 40 hours.
 - How much does one banana cost/ - It costs 600 dong.
c) Câu đề nghị (suggestions):
Ex: - Let's go swimming. 	1, Let's + V (infinitive) ...
	 - Why don't you play soccer? 	2, Why don't you + V (infinitive) ...?
	 - Would you like to see a movie?	3, Would you like + to + V (infinitive) ...?
	 - Should we play volleyball?	4, Should we + V (infinitive) ...?
	 - What about watching TV?	5, What about + V-ing ...?
d) Câu đáp lại lời đề nghị:
* Sự tán thành (agreement): - Good idea ! / Great!
* Không tán thành (disagreement): - I'm sorry, I can't.
e) Lời mời (invitation):
Ex:	- Would you like to come to my house for lunch?
	- Would you like to + V (infinitive)...?
f) Lời chấp nhận lịch sự (polite acceptance):
	-OK./ Yes, I'd love to. / Thanks for inviting me.
g) Lời từ chối lịch sự (polite refusal):
	- I'm sorry, I can't. Thanks any way.
	- I would love to but...
h) Câu đáp lại lời cảm ơn:
 Thanks anyway - You are welcome / It is my pleasure
i) Ask and answer the way;
Ex: * Question: - Excuse me. Could you show me the way to the supermarket, please? 
Excuse me .Could you tell me how to get to the souvenir shop?
 * Answer: OK. Go straight ahead. Take the first/ second/ third... Street on the right / left. 
 The supermarket is in front of you.
 3. Thể so sánh:
a) So sánh hơn (comparative):
* Tính từ ngắn:
Ex: - This box is bigger than that one. (box)
S +be + adj-er + than ...
* Tính từ dài:
Ex:	- This student is more intelligent than that one. (student)
S +be + more adj + than ...
Structure:
 * Tính từ đặc biệt:
	- good → better	: tốt hơn - bad → worse : xấu hơn, kém hơn
	- far → farther 	: xa hơn - many / much → more	: nhiều hơn
	- little → less	 : nhỏ hơn, ít hơn, kém hơn
 - few → fewer : nhỏ hơn, ít hơn, kém hơn
b) So sánh nhất (superlative):
the + adj-est ...
* Tính từ ngắn: 
Ex: 	- She is the tallest girl in my class.
the + most + adj ...
 * Tính từ dài:
Ex:	- This is the most beautiful village in the country.
* Tính từ đặc biệt:
	- good / well → the best	 : tốt nhất, khoẻ nhất
	- many / much → the most	 : nhiều nhất
	- little → the least	: nhỏ nhất, ít nhất
	- bad → the worst	: xấu nhất, kém nhất
	- far → the farthest / the furthest	 : xa nhất
 c) So sánh với động từ thường:
 Ex: My mother has fewer days off than my father because she works part time at a supermarket.
S + V + more / less / fewer + n + than.
4. Các thì (tenses):
a) Thì hiện tại đơn (simple present tense):
* Khẳng định (positive form)
 Ex:	- I go to school every morning.
	- She gets up at 6 o'clock. Then she has breakfast at 6.30 and goes to school at 6.40.
* Phủ định (negative form):
 Ex: 	- She isn't at home.
	- Lan doesn't like milk.
 - My students don’t go to school on Saturday
* Nghi vấn (interrogative form)
	- Is she at home?
	- Does Lan like milk?
 - Do American students wear school uniforms?
	- Can you swim?
 * Dấu hiệu: every, today, always, usually
 b) Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn (present progressive tense):
S + am / is / are + V-ing...
* Khẳng định:
Ex:	- We are going to the zoo at the moment.
S + am / is / are + not + V-ing...
	* Phủ định:
Ex: 	- We are not going to the zoo at the moment.
Am / Is / Are + S + V-ing ...?
	* Nghi vấn:
Ex: 	- Are they singing now?
 * Dấu hiệu: now, at the moment, this, at present.
 c) Thì tương lai đơn (simple future tense):
S + will / shall + V (infinitive)...
* Khẳng định:
 Ex: 	- I will (shall) do a test tomorrow. She will eat first. Then she will take a shower.
S + will / shall + not + V (infinitive)...
* Phủ định:
Ex:	- I will not do a test tomorrow.
Will / Shall + S + V (infinitive).
	 won't
	* Nghi vấn:
Ex: - Will they be late for school?
 * Dấu hiệu: soon, next, tomorrow, tonight, in the future..
d) Thì tương lai theo dự định:
Có thể dùng theo hai cách:
♦ Dùng thì hiện tại tiếp diễn để nói về sự việc trong tương lai đã được dự tính trước:
Ex: 	- He is coming tonight.
♦ Dùng thì tương lai dự định:
* Khẳng định:
Ex:	- My father is going to go to Paris this evening.
S + am / is / are + going to + V (infinitive)...
* Phủ định:
Ex: 	- Tom and Peter are not going to watch TV tonight.
S + am / is / are + not + going to + V (infinitive)...
* Nghi vấn: 
Ex: 	- Are you going to play soccer tomorrow afternoon?
Am / Is / Are + S + going to + V (infinitive)...
 5. Vị trí của trạng từ chỉ tần suất:
 Ex: - She is never busy on Sundays.
 - She always goes to the zoo on Sundays.
