I. Simple present tense(thì hiện tại đơn):
a. Usage(cách dùng):
1. Diễn tả một hành động hay một sự việc xảy ra thường xuyên ở hiện tại.
Ex: Our class begins at 7 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m every morning.
2. Diễn tả một sự việc có thật trong một khoảng thời gian tương đối dài ở hiện tại.
Ex: My father works as a doctor for a big hospital.
3. Diễn tả một chân lý hay một sự thật hiển nhiên.
Ex: The Sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
4. Nói về một hành động, sự việc trong tương lai đã được đưa vào chương trình, kế hoạch, thời gian biểu.
Ex: The MTV program begins at 7 o’clock this evening.

c. Adverbs(các trạng từ cần nhớ):
always : luôn luôn sometimes : thỉnh thoảng 
Today : hôm nay
often : thường thường
every week : mỗi tuần
usually : thường thường 
every year : mỗi ngày
every day : mỗi ngày once a week : 1 lần 1 tuần
* Notes(chú ý):Đối với chủ từ là ngôi thứ 3 số ít , động từ chúng ta phải thêm S hoặc ES.
1. Thêm ES vào những động từ tận cùng là các chữ: ch, sh, o,s, x, z
2. Thêm S vào những động từ còn lại.
3. Động từ tận cùng bằng chữ Y có 2 trường hợp. 
a. Nếu trước Y là 1 nguyên âm ta thêm S bình thường. 
Ex: playà plays
b. Nếu trước Y là 1 phụ âm ta đổi Y = I + ES 
Ex: tryà tries
