I. Warm up
- Play "Jumble letters" with sport words that they have learnt: football, swimming, chess, badminton, 
- Write jumble letters on the board.
- Reorder them to make words.
II. Present the new lesson 
1. Look, listen and repeat
- Ask.
- Read the title of the unit.
- Point at each picture and ask:
? Who is this
? What are they talking about
- Look at the pictures and answer 
- Read sentence by sentence.
- Listen and repeat.
- Voc. : prefer, table tennis, farm town.
- Write the new vocabulary on the board.

- Devide the class into groups.

	Pupils will be able to pronounce correctly the sounds of the letters ame as in game and those of the letter ate as in skate. 
 to listen and number the pictures in the order they hear.

- Play the game "Charades".
- Using the gestures to describe a sport or a game fo the opponent group to guess the word.
II. Present the new lesson 
1. Listen and repeat
- Ask.
- Draw their attention to the sounds of the letters ame as in game and those of the letter ate as in skate. 
 - Read.
- Open the books.
- Listen and repeat a few times.
2. Listen and read together
- Read each line, clap your hand: one clap for the words with "ame" as in "same" and two claps for the words with "ate" as in "skate".
- Play the recording twice.
- Listen for the 1st time. Listen and repeat, clap at the focus words.
3. Group and say aloud
- Ask.
- Look at the chart and the word box.
- Check if the students understand the activity.
- Ask.

- Read the word again.
- Do the task individually. Then check in pairs.

- Clap once for the words with "a" pronouced as in watermelon and two claps for the words with "a" pronounced as in dragon. 
- Play the recording twice.
- Listen for the 1st time. Listen and repeat, clap at the focus words.

- Set the context: Nam and Hoa are having breakfast with their family. They look sleepy.
