Skills: Students talk about daily activities: asking for and giving information from a timetable as well as talking about daily activities. He is a tenth-grade student. TASK 1: Quan is a tenth-grade student. He goes to school every morning. Now, look at his weekly timetable. EX: A: What time does Quan have Civic Education lesson on Monday? B: He has Civic Education lesson at a quarter past seven on Monday? A: What lesson does Quan have at a quarter past seven on Monday? B: He has a Civic Education lesson at a quarter past seven on Monday. Everyday, Quan gets up at 14:00. Then, at 14:15, he studies his lesson about two hours. He watches TV at 16:30. At 17:00 he rides his bike to the stadium to play football with other boys in the neighborhood. He comes back home at 18:30. After having a shower, he has dinner with his family at 19:00. He reviews his lesson at 20:00. This is a typical day of Quan. II/ WHILE- SPEAKING: TASK 1: Give model - Pair work: T sticks a poster on the board. Ss still close their books. T introduces Ss a situation. T sets a sample dialogue. T and a good student speak out the dialogue as a model. T asks Ss to open their book and T gets Ss to practice a dialogue in pair: One asks and one answers any questions about Quan’s timetable. T goes around observing the whole class and helps weak Ss. Note: Ss are not required to ask and answer all information in the timetable. If Ss practice well, they can take turn to other item. T can appoint some Ss in pairs to practice asking and answering in front of the class. TASK 2: [Pair work] T explains the request of Task 2 and provides Ss with some useful phrases for speaking. T lets Ss work in pairs and asks them to look at the pictures carefully to describe them. T goes around the class, controls it and helps weak Ss. Finally, T asks Ss to practice speaking in pairs in front of class. T gives his/her feedback. 10’ POST-SPEAKING: Tell your classmates about your daily routine: Some cues: Question: What time do you usually get up/have breakfast/ go to school? Sequence of time: 6 am, 6:30 am, 7:15 am, 11: 45 am, 12:00, 2 pm, 4 pm, 6 pm, etc. EX: Hi everybody! My name is Everyday, I get up at 6 am. Then, I have breakfast at 6:30 am III/ POST-SPEAKING: T asks Ss to work in groups of 3 to 4 and talk about their routine. Note: Ss only talk about their main / important activities.
