 Aids: Textbook, posters.

	II/ Pre – Writing:
Vocabulary:(5')
  to be delighted = to be very happy
 	  (to) give one’s regards to sb: gởi lời thăm ai.
 	Ex: Please give my best regards to your parents.

 	3. Gap-filling: (6')( Task 1/ p.117 ) ( pairwork ) .
 	 Have ss do the task in pairs.
 	 T calls on some ss to go and write their answers on bb.
	 T + ss correct.

 	 * Features of a letter of acceptance or refusal:
 	 T asks questions:
 	 + What is the similarity of the 3 letters ? ( thanks ).
 + .................................... between letter 1 and 3 ? (acceptance ).
 + How is letter 2 different form the other two ? ( refusal ).
 + Why did the writer of letter 2 refuse the invitation ?
 . Notes:
	 To write a letter of acceptance or refusal, we should thank our friends for the invitation.
 	 Give out the reason for the refusal.
	III/ While – writing:
Ordering sentences: (6') ( individually ) ( Task 2/ p. 118 ).
 Have ss read through the sentences.
 	 Ss do the task individually and exchange their answer with a partner.
	 T calls on a student to read the letter aloud, other ss listen and give feedback.
	 T comments and gives the correct answers.
	. Answers:	1 d , 2 e , 3 c , 4 e , 5 f , 6 b.
Writing – it – up: (8')( Task 3/ p.118 )
Instruction: One of your friends has invited you to go for a picnic to C. Phuong N.P next weekend.Write a reply letter accepting or declining his / her invitation.
 Have ss write the letter individually.
T goes around to observe and provide help.
IV/ Post writing:(7')
  Have ss exchange their letters with other students for peer correction.
T goes around and collects mistakes and errors.
T collects some writings for quick feedback.
  T writes ss’ typical errors on the board and elicits self and peer corection.
V/ Homework: (2')
. Write a letter of acceptance or refusal ( if ss have a written letter of acceptance in class, at home they will write a letter of refusal and vice versa ).
	* Prepare for the next period.
