Pre-listening: 1. Lead-in:(6'') T: Have you got a computer ? đ What’s it used for ? đ -T gives out a table of items (page 57) -Ss put a tick in the right column and compare with a partner. -T asks : How many electrical appliances are there in the table? What are they ? How often do you uae each of them? 2. Listen and repeat: T practises Ss reading words (page 57) II. While listening: T: We are going to listen to an old company director talking about his experience of learning how to use a computer. 1.Task 1: T/F statements. (page 57) (10') - Ss read through 6 sentences. -Ss listen to the text twice and work in pairs to choose T/F . -Ss listen the third time to check. -T checks and corrects false sentences. *Keys: (If Ss do it wrong, T can asks ss to listen the tape again.) 1.F (he wasn’t worried) 2.T 3.T 4.F (his son knows well) 5.F (the man didn’t) 6.F( the man was having a headache and suggested leaving the lesson) 2.Task 2: Complete the missing words.
