II. Presentation :
 It’s time for recess and the people at Quang Trung school are in the school yard . What are they doing ?
T : What ‘s Mr . Quang doing ?
Ss : He ‘s walking up the stairs.
T : Who is the man walking up the stairs ?
Ss : The man / walking up the stairs / is Mr. Quang . Present participle phrase 
T : what is this ?
Ss : The old lamp 
T ; where is the old lamp made in ?
Ss : in china.
T : how much is the old lamp made in China ?
Ss : 5 dollars .
T: The old lamp/ made in China / is five dolars.
 Past participle phrase 
à Present participle : V – ing 
Use : A present participle can be used as an adjective to qualify a noun with active meaning .

Use : A past participle can be used as an adjective to qualify a noun with passive meaning .
