 	HOW NAM HAS IMPROVED HIS ENGLISH
In the first year of lower secondary school, I had some difficulties in learning English. My pronunciation of English words really bad and my English grammar was worse. I did not know how to improve them. One afternoon after the lesson, my teacher of English told me to wait for her outside the classroom. She took me to the school library and showed me cassettes of pronunciation drills kept in a glass bookcase. She also told me how to use English and do some exercises to improve my English grammar. “ Now, I think you know what you should do”, said she. I tried my best and only one year later, I won the first prize in the English Speaking Contest held for secondary school students in my hometown.”

 Thanks for your letter. I’m pleased (glad) to hear you had an enjoyable Christmas vacation.
We reveived our first semester report last week. I got good grades for Music and Literature, but my Math result was poor. My teacher told (asked) me to improve it ( to spend more time on it). I must study harder next semester. 
 Tet holiday will come in a few weeks( In a few weeks, it is going Tet holiday). I am going (to go) to the Vung Tau with my mother and my sister this Sunday. I’ll send you some souvenirs from there.
