Part a: listening: Listen to the tape and fill in each numbered blank with one suitable word: 
 In Britain, when giving or asking for telephone numbers, we don’t say thousand, hundred or million, we say each number (1) .. So 421 6759 is four-two-one, six-seven-five-nine. The “0” is (2) .. “oh”. 081 436 0872 is oh-eight-one, four-three-six, oh-eight-seven-two. These numbers are in (3) .. The groups are codes for areas in (4) .. When we say the numbers, we pause between the groups. However, when the same number occurs twice, the (5) .. “double” is used with the number. 1994422 is one double-nine, double-four, double-two.

TODD’S TENNIS TOUR
Ellen:
You’re so lucky, Todd. You travel all over the world. I never (1). Chicago!

What about last year? Where did you go? Tell me about it.

Todd:
