REVISION FOR THE COMING TEST 02 By: Ms. Dung Purple
I- WRITING A PARAGRAPH:
Sample 1: Last week, I had a wonderful time with some of my close friends to enjoy the show “ Sing My Song” on
VTV3. This is a new program organized by VTV3. The participants of this game show are famous singers, song-
writers or people who can write their own songs. To take part in this game show, the players have to perform their
songs well to get admission from the 4 judges. On that day, I was impressed by the song “My Grandparents” sung
by Le Thien Hieu. I like this kind of contest because listening to music is one of my favorite hobbies.
Sample 2: Every year whenever November comes, we all are very eager to wait for the school’s singing contest
celebrated by the Youth Union and three weeks ago, we had a really wonderful time to enjoy many exciting
performances from the students of Nguyen Trung Truc High School in the 2016-2017 Singing Contest. The students
from 34 classes at school had tried all of their best to perform their songs, their dances as well as their plays in order
to get the highest marks from the 4 judges. The winners of this contest were the ones who got the highest marks. I
really like this yearly competition because it brings me joyfulness after many hard-working periods and tests.
Sample 3: Last month, I had a chance to be one of the participants of the English Speaking Contest at Nguyen
Trung Truc High School. This contest was organized by our English Teacher and the participants were students who
are good at English. To participate in the competition, we had to answer the questions from some video clips and
write up a story from the 4 pictures. The winner of this year were two students from 10A6 and 10A7. Although I failed
the contest, I like it very much because it helps me widen my knowledge about my favorite subject.
