 	WANDA’S WEEKEND
Wanda spent the week with her grandparents in the country. They live on a big farm, and they have chickens and lots of animals and fruit trees and fresh vegetables. It’s just really, really beautiful and peaceful there. When she was there the apples were in season, and they went picking. And the neighbors came, and they helped pick the apples, then they packed the apples, and it was so much fun. At the end of the day, her grandma cooked a big meal, and everyone just sat around, for eating and eating and talking.... Oh, everything was delicious. Tt was so good. And she thought she’d be bored because her parents don’t have a TV or anything, but she wasn’t. It was a lot of fun.
But at the end of week, she really missed her friends in the city. Wanda said, “I think I prefer to live in the city, -- it’s noisy and dirty in the city, but I...I like it better than the country. The country is OK for a visit, but.... it’s too quiet for me.”
