ACUPUNCTURE
	Acupuncture is a Chinese medical technique (1). has been practiced for more than 4000 years. It involves inserting long thin needles (2)particular spots in the skin, known as acupuncture points, and rotating them. Although it is mainly used to relieve pain, it is also sometimes used (3). curing disease and improving general health. 
	Acupuncture is one of the great mysteries of medical science and Western scientists still have not come (4)an adequate explanation as to how acupuncture actually works. At one time it was believed that acupuncture was related in some way to hypnosis, but this has now been proved not to be true. Chinese patients who were anaesthetized only by acupuncture and yet showed no signs of pain.
