	Every year, students in many countries learn English. Some of these students are young children. Others are teenagers. Many are adults. Some learn at school, others study by themselves. 	 Nylon was invented in the early 1930s by an American chemist, Julian Hill. Other scientists worked with his invention and finally on October 27th, 1938, nylon was introduced to the world. It was cheap and immediately became successful, especially in the making of the ladies’ stockings.
 	During the Second World War, the best present for many women was a pair of nylon stockings, but more importantly, it was used to make parachute and types

The passage for listening 
My village is about 50 kilometers from the city center. It is a very beautiful and peaceful place where people grow flowers and vegetables only. It’s very famous for its pretty roses and picturesque scenery. The air is quite fresh ; however, the smell of the roses make people feel cool. In Spring, my village looks like a carpet with plenty of colors . Tourists come to visit it so often. Nowadays, with electricity, it doesn’t take the villagers much time to water the roses. And even at night, people can walk along the path and enjoy the fresh smell of the flowers.

In the first past of the twentieth century, before a television set appeared, radio programming was different from what it is now. Children rushed home from school to listen to ‘Story Hour’. Families gathered around the radio at night to hear important news or to listen to their favorite programs. Radio was an important form of home entertainment. However, because of television, radio programming has changed. Now radio is a medium that is used more often in a car than a home.
