On my business trip last year, I had a chance to stay in Hanoi for three days. I was very excited, because I had a friend living there. Her name was Linh. I got to know her through the Internet. She was so sociable and sincere, and we shared many confidences but I’d never met her before. She promised to wait for me at the airport, and I was really happy when I recognized her lovely face and her long smooth black hair. She let me stay in her house near Hoan Kiem Lake, and we actually had most wonderful time ever. She showed me many famous places such as Van Mieu, Mot Cot Pagoda (One Pillar Pagoda), Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Bat Trang Pottery Village, and of course, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son temple. I was really impressed by the beauty of the scenery, the friendliness of the people, and the delicious food, too. I actually liked Pho very much. At the end of the trip, I didn’t want to leave at all. I wished to stay longer, but I couldn’t. Hanoi is amazing and I want to visit Hanoi again someday.
