The best way to improve the four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, is to practice regularly. You should make use of every opportunity to speak English with friends in class or at English speaking clubs or even with yourselves in front of the mirror. Learning by heart all the words does not help much if you do not read a lot because you will easily forget what you learnt. Reading books, listening to radio and watching films are better ways to memorize words. Practicing speaking a lot is a good way to correct your mistakes.

Nam is a student of the foreign language school in HCM city. Last summer, he invited his friends to his home village near Ba Dong beach. They loved the activities on these days so much.
	In the early morning, when they were doing morning exercises, farmers were working on the farm. The men were ploutng in the field. The women were watering vegetables. One of Nam’s friends said “What a busy morning!”.
	In the afternoon, Nam and his friends took a trip to Ba Dong beach by bike. On the way to the beach, they still saw the farmers working in the field. Last summer, I had a chance to join my friend’s family on a trip to his home village, about 30km to the north of Da Nang. The village lies near the foot of Hai Van pass. We went there by car. Our car ran at an average speed so that we could enjoy the beautiful sights along the road.
The green paddy fields stretched as far as the eyes could see. Some cows were grazing by the roadside and some stocks were fluttering beyond. It did not take long, just about half an hour. The village is on the other side of the river, so we had to park the car under a big banyan tree by the ferry landing. We crossed the river by ferry.
Like almost every village in the country, Nam’s home village looks quiet and peaceful with bamboos, banyan trees, and water wells  We enjoyed the beautiful sights and the fresh air, met friendly people and did interesting things. I hope I will be able to go there again.
